Bassem is the Group's Regional Managing Director for Merchant Services in Egypt, spearheading growth and market expansion in the region from his base in Cairo.
He has been instrumental to the success of the Network Pay direct-to-merchant service in the Egyptian market, building and managing a high-performing team, and serving as Network’s main liaison with the Central Bank and government bodies.
With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Bassem brings deep expertise in identifying and driving growth opportunities for banks and financial institutions across Europe and the Middle East. His background spans customer service, portfolio management, banking systems, retail banking products, SME services, and more.
Bassem previously managed Network International’s Processing business in North Africa, overseeing P&L, Revenue and EBIDTA, Business Development ad Client Relationships, among others, for the region.
