Simon works closely with the Chairman and Board members to set strategic expansion goals for the organisation, and leads the management team to accomplish these objectives.
He is also the Chairman of Mercury Payments Services LLC; Chairman/Director in Network International subsidiary companies for the Middle East and Africa; and is a UnionPay International (UPI) Councilor.
Simon has more than 35 years of experience in the payments and banking sector. Prior to joining Network International, he was based in Atlanta, Georgia, as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Elavon, a subsidiary of US Bancorp and one of the world’s largest global merchant processing organisations. Prior positions during his eight-year term at Elavon include President of International Markets and Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Europe.
He has also served with Citigroup International PLC as Head of Credit and Risk with responsibility for all credit and fraud-related activities impacting Citigroup’s Pan European Merchant Acquiring Business. In addition, he has worked with both HSBC and Midland Bank.
Simon is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
Chief of Staff and Group Chief Strategy Officer
Andrew brings with him more than a decade of experience in senior leadership positions in the payments industry spread across commercial, operational and financial functions. He has strong commercial awareness, and is highly analytical in his approach. He is known for high-value actionable interventions that have delivered value across all lines of the P&L.
His experience before joining Network International includes serving as Head of Strategic Planning at Elavon. He has also held key positions at Barclaycard and worked across Europe, North America, Latin America and Africa. At Absa, he led the bank’s strategy and change management function for the cards business.
Andrew holds an MBA from the University of Warwick.
Managing Director – Middle East
Samer holds full P&L responsibility for all aspects of the acquiring and issuing business of Network International Group in the Middle East. He is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to drive the growth of the company’s business in the region.
A voting member of the executive committee, Samer is also a Board member and Managing Director of Network International Egypt, and Board member of Diners Club Egypt and Levant. He sits on the product advisory board of UnionPay International, representing the Middle East region.
Samer has contributed significantly to the inorganic growth of Network International through identifying investment opportunities and designing the business and operating models. He was a key team member in one acquisition and four joint ventures.
Samer brings more than 15 years of experience in retail business, cards issuing, acquiring and third party processing. Samer also holds a Master’s degree in leading innovation and change from Robert Kennedy College in Switzerland, in partnership with York St. John University.
Hend Al Ali
Group Head of Human Resources and Facilities
Hend carries more than 15 years of experience in the field of human resource management. Prior to joining Network International she was the Head of HR at Duniya. She was also the HR Recruitment Manager at Citibank UAE where she successfully carried out the Emiratisation program.
Under her stewardship, Network International has won government recognition and awards for human development and Emiratisation.
Hend has spearheaded HR departments at various national and international operations based in the UAE. She is a recipient of the prestigious Dubai Human Development Award given by the Dubai Economic Department.
She is also part of the Women’s Committee in the Banking Sector, which is run by the Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies. She started her career with GASCO in Abu Dhabi, after completing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from the Higher Colleges of Technology - Dubai Women’s College.
Managing Director - Africa
Andrew is an executive leader with an impressive track record of success that reflects broad experience gained across the payments landscape. He is renowned for consistently developing and executing strategies that deliver to demanding targets and timelines, while satisfying customer expectations and adding value to the bottom line.
He was most recently the President of Elavon Europe, leading a team of 1,400 colleagues located in 6 markets, providing end-to-end payment services to more than 350,000 clients.
Prior to Elavon, Andrew held key positions in organisations such as Mastercard, Lloyds Banking Group and Barclaycard.
Andrew has completed the Executive Development Programme at London Business School and holds a Bachelor's degree in Management Science from Loughborough University and is also a member of the CIPD.
Group Chief Financial Officer
Rohit is responsible for overseeing the entire spectrum of finance activities across the group. He sits on the Board of most of the group companies, including Network International Egypt, Network International Investments PTE LTD and Network International Global Services India Pvt. Ltd.
He has more than 15 years of experience across all major corporate finance domains in the financial services and FMCG sectors. Prior to joining the group, he was the Head of Financial Policy and Processes at Emirates NBD. Before that, he was one of the senior team leads in the Global Balance Sheet Reporting function of American Express, and before that, was managing the Financial Planning team for Nestlé South Asia Region.
Rohit is a Chartered Financial Analyst from the CFA Institute of the United States of America and a Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Group General Counsel and Head of Compliance
Jay is Network International’s Group General Counsel and Head of Compliance, responsible for advising on regulatory and legal matters as well as enterprise risk management and compliance.
She joined us from Elavon, a subsidiary of US Bancorp, where she served as Head of Legal for International Markets.
Her over 20 years of experience spans work in a number of major financial institutions including Citigroup and Royal Bank of Scotland Plc, advising on legal, regulatory and compliance issues impacting the retail financial services and payment services sectors in particular, across a number of jurisdictions in Europe and Latin America.
Jay is a qualified Solicitor in England and Wales.
Head of Product and Innovation
Paul is a highly successful product and commercial leader with strong ecommerce, mobile and payment experience of over 14 years, specialised in building and developing successful product development functions for both VC-led start-ups and major PLCs.
Paul joined Network International from Barclaycard Payment services, where he was the Managing Director responsible for end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation to delivery and in-life management.
In his previous tenures in payment majors like Elavon Merchant Services and RBS PLC, he was responsible for the product portfolio across key markets in Europe, Mexico and South America.
As the Head of Product & Innovation, Paul will be responsible for transforming Network International into a world-class product and innovation-centric organisation.
Mona Al Ghurair
Group Chief Marketing Officer
Mona manages the team responsible for branding, public relations, communications and events. She drives the branding and marketing strategy for the Network International Group, optimally leveraging various promotion and publicity platforms, regionally and internationally, to maximise visibility for the Network brand.
Her more than 18 years of experience in the marketing domain includes working with Emirates NBD/Network International for more than 14 years, during which she was also been involved with the product, sales, and business development units.
Mona is a strong advocate of women’s empowerment and is an active member of several forums and committees that promote women’s career development in the UAE.
Chief Operating Officer
Bahea is in charge of establishing a customer-centric work culture that delivers world-class experiences to Network’s client banks and merchants across the Middle East and Africa. She has more than 10 years of extensive experience in managing large and complex transformation projects for various Issuing and Acquiring organisations.
Before assuming her current post, she was Network’s Chief Information Officer for the Middle East, and was heavily involved in the conversion of major clients to the Way4 payment processing platform.
Group Chief Information Officer
Matt heads the Technology and Business Transformation function for the Network International Group. He has more than 25 years of experience in technology roles, ranging from IT consulting to CTO and CIO in financial services, and digital experience including payments, retail banking, insurance, asset management, publishing and online media.
He joined Network International from Barclaycard UK where he was the CIO for their global payments businesses. Prior to Barclaycard, Matt was CIO for Retail & Business Banking for Absa and Barclays in Africa, based in Johannesburg. He has worked with several other organisations including PayPoint plc, Marsh and Thomson Reuters.
