    Simon Haslam Group Chief Executive Officer

    Simon Haslam is the Group Chief Executive Officer at Network International, working closely with the Chairman and Board members to set strategic expansion goals for the organization, and lead the management team in the accomplishment of these objectives. Simon is also the Chairman of Mercury Payments Services L.L.C.; Chairman / Director in Network International subsidiary companies for Middle East and Africa; and is a UnionPay International (UPI) Councillor.

    Simon brings over 35 years of experience in the payments and banking sector. Prior to joining Network International, Simon was based in Atlanta, Georgia, as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Elavon, a subsidiary of U.S. Bancorp and one of the world’s largest global merchant processing organizations. Prior positions during his eight-year term at Elavon included President of International Markets; and Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Europe.

    Simon has also served with Citigroup International PLC as Head of Credit and Risk with responsibility for all credit and fraud related activities impacting Citigroup’s Pan European Merchant Acquiring Business. In addition, he has worked with both HSBC and Midland Bank.

    Simon is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.

    Andrew Hocking Group Chief Strategy Officer and Chief of Staff

    Andrew Hocking is Network International’s Group Chief Strategy Officer and Chief of Staff. Before joining Network International he was at Elavon, where he was the Head of Strategic Planning. Andrew brings with him more than decade of experience in senior leadership positions within payments, spread across commercial, operational and financial functions. He has strong commercial awareness, and is highly analytical in his approach. He is known for high value actionable interventions which have delivered value across all lines of the P&L. In the past, Andrew has held key positions in Elavon and Barclaycard, having worked across a number of geographies including Europe, North America, Latin America and Africa. He has also worked at Absa, where among other responsibilities, he led the bank’s strategy and change management function for their card business. Andrew holds a MBA from the University of Warwick. His other interests include current affairs, history, cycling, swimming and reading.

    Samer Soliman Managing Director – Group Acquiring

    Samer is the Managing Director – Group Acquiring at Network International. In this role he holds full P&L responsibility for all aspects of the acquiring business of the Network International Group. He is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to drive the growth of the company’s acquiring business across the UAE, GCC and Africa. 

    A voting member of the executive committee at Network International, Samer is also a Board member and Managing Director of Network International Egypt, and Board member in Diners Club Egypt and Levant. He also sits on the product advisory board of Union Pay International, representing the Middle East region.

    Samer has contributed significantly to the inorganic growth of Network international through identifying investment opportunities and designing the business and operating model. He was a key team member in one acquisition and four joint ventures.

    He brings in over 15 years of in-depth experience in retail business, cards issuing, acquiring and third party processing. Prior to Network International, Samer was part of the team that worked on setting up the consumer business in Citibank Egypt with a main objective of establishing the call center to serve consumer client.

    Samer is married with three children. He holds a Masters degree in leading innovation and change from Robert Kennedy College in Switzerland, in partnership with York St John University.

    Andrew Key Managing Director - Head of Processing Business

    Andrew is an executive leader with an impressive track record of success that reflects broad experience gained across the payments landscape. He is renowned for consistently demonstrating his abilities to develop and execute strategies that delivers to demanding targets and timelines, successfully fulfilling customer expectations whilst adding value to the bottom line.

    He was most recently the President of Elavon Europe - a subsidiary of US Bancorp (USB) - and responsible for the entire P&L of the European business of Elavon. He was accountable for the diverse range of partner relationships that deliver distribution or product capabilities to Elavon’s European business and led the team of 1,400 colleagues located in 6 markets, providing end-to-end payment services to 350,000+ clients.

    Prior to Elavon, Andrew held key positions in organizations such as MasterCard, Lloyds Banking Group and Barclaycard.

    Andrew has completed the Executive Development Program at London Business School and holds a Bachelor degree in Management Science from Loughborough University and is also a member of the CIPD.

    Rohit Malhotra Group Chief Financial Officer

    Rohit Malhotra is the Group Chief Financial Officer of Network International and is responsible for overseeing the entire gamut of finance activities across the group. He sits on the Board of most of the group companies, including Network International Egypt, Network International Investments PTE LTD and Network International Global Services India Pvt Ltd. Rohithas over 15 years of experience across all major corporate finance domains in the financial services and FMCG sectors.

    Prior to joining the group, Rohit was the Head of Financial Policy and Processes at Emirates NBD, where he helped develop an IFRS compliant financial accounting policy framework and led the Finance systems implementation across the group. Prior to that, he was one of the senior team leads in the Global Balance Sheet Reporting function of American Express, working closely with the Investor Relations team and before that was managing the Financial Planning team for Nestle South Asia Region.

    Rohit is a Chartered Financial Analyst from the CFA Institute of the United States of America and a Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

    Matt Sinclair Group Chief Information Officer

    Matt heads the Technology & Business Transformation function for the NI Group. He has over 25 years of experience in technical roles, ranging from IT consulting, to CTO and CIO in financial services, digital experience including payments, retail banking, insurance, asset management, publishing and online media. Matt joined us from Barclaycard UK where he was the CIO for their global payments businesses. Prior to Barclaycard, Matt was CIO for Retail & Business Banking for Absa and Barclays in Africa, based in Johannesburg, and has worked with several organizations including Barclays Africa and Absa, PayPoint plc, Marsh and Thomson Reuters.

    Charles Lobo Chief Operating Officer

    Charles Lobo is Network International's Chief Operating Officer (COO), heading the Operations and Delivery Management team for the Group.

    Charles has over 18 years of experience in the areas of retail cards marketing, card operations, cards portfolio management, product management, projects and the merchant acquiring business. He has joined us from Emirates NBD where he was the SVP heading the Operations, Service & Projects structure for the Retail Assets & Cards Business. Prior to Emirates NBD, he worked with several organizations including Standard Chartered Bank India, GE Capital – SBI Cards India, Tata Consultancy Services India. Charles holds a double Master’s Degree – MBA in Business Management from IMI, Delhi and MS in Business Management from University of Maryland, College Park, US.  In addition, he also has completed Management Development programs at Harvard Business School and Universitas 21 Global, Singapore.

    As the COO, Charles’ responsibilities include developing the operations strategy across the group companies, policies and governance of the Operations functions.  He works closely with other business units to align the operations strategy with business strategy across the organization.

    Paul Clarke Head of Product and Innovation

    Paul is a highly successful product and commercial leader with strong e-Commerce, mobile and payment experience of over 14 years, specialized in building and developing successful product development functions for both VC led start-ups and major PLC’s.

    Paul joined Network International from Barclaycard Payment services - one of the world’s largest banks where he was the Managing Director responsible for end to end product lifecycle from ideation, delivery and in-life management. He has delivered many strategic initiatives and was instrumental in creating a world-class product organization, achieving real business change through product development.

    In his previous tenures in payment majors like Elavon Merchant Services and RBS PLC, he was responsible for the product portfolio across key markets in Europe, Mexico and South America.

    As the Head of Product & Innovation, Paul will be responsible for transforming Network International into a world-class product and innovation-centric organization.

    Hend Al Ali Group Human Resources Officer

    Hend has over 15 years of experience in the HR field. Prior to joining Network International she was the Head of HR at Duniya. She has also been the HR Recruitment Manager at Citibank, UAE for several years where she successfully carried out the Emiratization program, which was highly appreciated by the government authorities.

    Hend has also worked in Mashreq Bank - Human Resources, where she ran the bank’s recruitment programs: Al Tumooh, Graduate Trainee program, Summer Learning program, Core Time and Al Mashreq Al Mutamyez, as well as other work-based learning schemes. Right through her career, Hend has been a true inspiration to her female colleagues who have aspired to pursue their dreams despite challenges. Her exemplary leadership and interpersonal skills have been invaluable to the various organizations she has worked with over the years.

    Hend is a recipient of the prestigious Dubai Human Development Award, given by the Dubai Economic Department. She is also part of the Women Committee in the Banking Sector, which is run by the Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies. Hend started her career with GASCO in Abu Dhabi, after completing a Bachelor in Information Technology from Higher Colleges of Technology - Dubai Women’s College.

    Jaishree (Jay) Razzaq General Counsel and Head of Compliance

    Jay Razzaq is Network International’s General Counsel and Head of Compliance. She joins us from Elavon, a subsidiary of US Bancorp, where she served as  Head of Legal – International Markets. Jay has over 20 years of experience, having worked  in a number of major financial instutions including Citigroup and Royal Bank of Scotland  Plc, advising on legal, regulatory  and compliance issues impacting the  retail financial services and payment services sectors in particular,  across a number of jurisdictions in Europe and Latin America. Jay is responsible for advising on legal matters arising within the NI Group and also has  responsibility for enterprise risk management and compliance.

    Jay  is a qualified Solicitor in England and Wales.
