2003: Launched third party processing for financial institutions

2004: New Chairman and Board of Directors appointed

2004: Operations launched in Lebanon, Egypt, Kuwait, Oman and Africa

2005: First to launch an EMV personalisation bureau in the region

2006: First to offer real-time card acceptance payment capability to UAE merchants through GPRS POS terminals

2006: ISO 27001 certified (data security certification)

2007: Integrated POS solutions launched to ease payment methods for the retail and hospitality sectors

2008: Acquired NPC Egypt (specialist in ATM and POS management)

2008: Launched joint venture with Oberthur

2009: Launched the joint venture SINNAD with Bahrain-based BENEFIT, to provide end-to-end card hosting and payment solutions to Bahrain and Saudi Arabia

2010: Acquired Diners Club franchise for UAE, Egypt, Lebanon and Jordan 

2010: Gained 70% share of acquiring business to become the UAE market leader

2011: Established Transguard Cash (TG Cash), a joint venture with Transguard Security, for advanced cash management

2011: Abraaj Capital acquires 49% stake of Network International

 

2012: Acquires majority stake in global ePayments firm TimesofMoney

 

2013: Becomes first to launch a mobile point of sale (mPOS) device in the UAE

 

2014: Becomes the first acquirer to launch a dedicated e-commerce solution – Network Online (NeO)

 

2015: Global investment firms Warburg Pincus and General Atlantic acquire a 49% stake in Network International from Abraaj Capital and Emirates Investment Authority 

 

2016: Acquires Emerging Markets Payments (EMP), making the combined entity the clear market leader across the MEA with presence across 71 countries
